Mr. Chris Yiu, Senior Programme Officer of Centre for Sign Linguistics and Deaf Studies of CUHK and Voluntary Director of SLCO Community Resources, received the award for “Innovative Practice on Inclusive Education” on behalf of the SLCO Programme from ESSL Foundation Zero Project 2020 in Austria.

The theme of Zero Project this year was “Inclusive Education” with 436 nominations from 79 countries. After two rounds of voting by 3,000 experts, 75 winning projects were elected. “SLCO Programme” was selected as the only winning project in Hong Kong and China amidst keen competition.

SLCO Community Resources, collaborating with CSLDS to implement the programme since establishment, was grateful that sign bilingual education can gain international recognition. We would like to thank everyone who have supported the SLCO Programme throughout the years.
