SLCO Community Resources was chosen as a charity partner of Morgan Stanley in 2022-2024 and received donation from Operation Santa Claus to implement the project which aims to extend the use of sign language as an Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) to enhance the communication of children with special education needs (SEN).

Through sign bilingual experiential activities and incorporating sign language into training sessions, the team encourages SEN children to use gestures and basic signs to assist oral expression; encourages professionals, teachers and parents to use sign language to assist communication with SEN children to enhance training effectiveness. The project will also develop training materials and provide professional training for speech therapist and teachers.
